The Doraemon Exhibition was first held in 2012. It then restaged in 2017 at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Tokyo and drew Japanese contemporary artists and arts group to create their own version of Doraemon. The refreshed Doraemon Exhibition then started its “world tour” in Japan and visited over nine cities namely, Tokyo, Takaoka, Nagoya, Osaka, Niigata, Sapporo, Kyoto, Fukushima and Okayama. This year, the exhibition will be making its overseas debut in Singapore! The debut will also be the first time that visitors can enjoy both contemporary arts and original MANGA drawings with a single ticket! This marks the first time that original MANGA drawing which is entitled “MANGA DORAEMON Original Drawings Exhibition” where Fujiko・F・Fujio Museum’s collection of original drawings of MANGA DORAEMON will be displayed, providing Singaporean fans the opportunity to enjoy the original MANGA drawings without travelling to the Museum which is located in Kanagawa, Japan.
The Singapore version of the exhibition will also feature unique lineup of Doraemon merchandises which include limited Doraemon exhibition merchandises, Singapore-exclusive Doraemon collectibles and Fujiko・F・Fujio Museum merchandises.
The “Create Your Own Original Doraemon” section will showcase artworks from 28 artists and art groups. The artists and art groups use their artworks to showcase to visitors how they have been inspired by Doraemon and visitors will be able to enjoy the special moment when Doraemon and “art” meets through the artworks showcased.
Tickets are currently available for sale on Klook platform and it costs SGD 30.00 for adults, SGD 28.00 for individuals under age of 18 and is free of charge for children under the age of six.
